馮檢基：選特首感情要專一
在昨日的泛民特首初選第二場辯論上，有台下人士問及何俊仁與馮檢基感情缺失觀點，何俊仁指如從政者的私人感情問題，涉及履行公職的誠信就大件事，有責任公開交代；如沒影響社會、公職及任何誠信，自己沒興趣知道「閂埋門」下個人的道德操守如何。馮則認為從政者在感情問題上應該專一。

何：回應要講真話
有提問者問及感情有缺失者，應否被選入政府內閣，像曾與一位女子相好，及後離婚與第二個女子有感情，後來再跟原先的女子一起。提問者似暗指民主黨某一位成員，但何俊仁與馮檢基則選擇不「對號入座」作答。

馮檢基稱人本身要有自己道德觀念，有些時代可以三妻四妾，有時可一妻一妾，他隨即澄清是一夫一妻才對，要看社會容納度。他續說作為個人，可不理道德操守，但當從政人士，尤其是選特首，則只得一個價值，「唔該，要專一」。

何俊仁則指感情缺失如涉及履行公職權力的誠信，破壞履行公職時的責任，則絕不能妥協。他稱英國早前就有一名部長與大有可能是一位俄國女間諜有私情，便要向國會交代。
他續說如是涉及私人道德或私人生活的，又沒有影響社會或公職的，「我未必有興趣知道呢個人閂埋門道德操守係點樣，呢個可能涉及公眾知情權，公眾會問，佢答唔答，係呢個從政人自己抉擇」。

他稱從政人士遇上這問題，回應時則要講真話，如講大話就是最大誠信問題，會導致一個人不是因感情缺失需要落台，而是因講大話落台。

I watched Mural 《画壁》!

Story: Young scholar named Zhu, accompanied by his servant, Hou, journeys to the capital to take the imperial examinations. Near an ancient temple, they clash with a swordsman named Meng but later befriend him thanks to the intervention of a monk. Inside the temple, Zhu discovers a mural of painted fairy maidens. To his delight, one of the maidens in the mural comes to life before his very eyes. Unable to resist her beauty, Zhu finds himself and his companions, Hou and Meng, embarking on an adventure as they are transported into the world of the mural.

On the surface, the magical fairy kingdom of the mural appears to an idyllic world where men can fulfill their dreams as long as they obey the rules of the Fairy Queen. Surrounded by a multitude of beauties, Hou and Meng, each meets his fantasy lover. Zhu, however, finds himself torn between two women. But this fantasy world is actually a trap where theirs souls will ultimately be lost. Oblivious to the danger, Zhu tries to appeal to the Fairy Queen with the power of love. Determined to prove that love is merely an illusion; the Fairy Queen decides to destroy the magical kingdom...

After 3D Sex Zen, Mural was the 1st Chinese Epic Movie I have watched so far. The story line was about love triangle among the maidens and all the people kept their feelings inside (Typical Chinese Romance).

For audience who are from the western culture, the movie was kinda like "Sense & Sensibility". I would like to remind some of you might find the movie hard to understand. You might focus on checking out the fashion, animation and graphics. They were unbelievable gorgeous and stunning.

Plus, Director Chen picked the 10 actresses with distinguish classic beauty. The way they looked, talked, moved, paused and showed their emotion... very elegant and different from their personality.

"Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, a tragedy for the poor.' This is the message I have got from the movie. It reminded me "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", my favorite movie.

Don't take everything grant, too serious or careless!

Mac 貼士：神秘的 Home 和 End 鍵

PC 的鍵盤一定有 Home 和 End 鍵。任何 Windows 軟件都可利用 Home 鍵跳到一行文字的開首，或 End 鍵跳到行末。這是 DOS 時代已經存在的「標準」。

Mac 的鍵盤不一定有 Home 和 End 鍵。即使有，除了跟 Microsoft 有關的產品（例如 Office 或以 Boot Camp / "Parallels" / "VMware" 進入 Windows 環境）之外，其他軟件都絕大部分不認得這兩個鍵，或者另有其他用途（例如跳到頁首、頁尾），那怎麼辦？

一般來說，如果文字欄只有一行（例如搜尋欄、儲存檔名等），大家可以用上下箭咀鍵來分別代替 Home 和 End 鍵，跳到行首或行末。可惜現在搜尋欄經常彈出「實時選單」，徵用了上下箭咀鍵；對一整篇文字來說，箭咀鍵更有它們本來的任務，在此顯然幫不上忙。

大家可試試下載一個很舊但應該還有用的小程式 KeyFixer，它能修改一項隱藏的系統設定，把 Home 和 End 鍵「還原」至我們熟悉的用法，可惜還是有個別軟件（例如 Firefox、 iTunes）未能受惠，或要另請高明。

iPhone 貼士：如何自製電話鈴聲

相信這是「iPhone 十大常見問題」之一。反正最後還是「知其然，而不知其所以然」，與其像不少電腦雜誌般由 Step 1 教到 Step 9，倒不如抄捷徑找 Apps 代勞。

進入 App Store 搜尋 "ringtone"，你會發現大量鈴聲製作軟件，而且大部分都是免費的！免費軟件毋須推介，可乾脆逐一試用，但要注意的是，最終還是要靠電腦的 iTunes 軟件，把鈴聲以同步 (Sync) 方式重新灌入 iPhone。這一步不能以任何 ringtone app 代勞，但通常它們都會有詳細說明，只要按部就班即可。一個軟件看不明白，便下載另一個吧！

傳統鍵盤手機，5字鍵會有一個凹凸位，其實是為視障人士而設，方便他們撥打電話。不過，現今觸屏智能手機和平板電腦當道，視障人士怎麼辦？原來蘋果iPhone和iPad都有「Voice Over」屏幕閱讀功能，讓視障人士能「看」到SMS、E-Mail和App的內容。本身是視障人士的中大經濟系三年級學生崔宇恆（Walter)形容這是突破性產品，正推薦身邊朋友使用。

隨堂筆記無難度

在校園中，戴著藍牙耳筒，手握iPhone或iPad，Walter似乎與一般愛用電子產品的潮人無異，但只有常人10%的視力。對於iPad和iPhone，他就用一個「正」字形容：「iPhone和iPad把視障人士本來用不到的產品，變得像正常人般隨時隨地接收資訊。」iPhone和iPad變成Walter上堂必備，接上藍牙鍵盤和耳筒，上堂時能隨時做筆記，「以前上堂基本做不到筆記，現在『Voice Over』能讀出輸入的內容，會指正串錯字，更能隨時溫書。」

平過點字機．惜無資助

Walter指，按照自己的視力，使用電腦要將字放大近40倍，由於不懂盲文點字，要讀完一本書非常辛苦。由於只有少量書籍有慈善團體錄音，新聞只能靠電視或電台，現在書刊報紙都有電子版，能與常人一樣，隨時隨地「看」報玩App。「以前基本沒有用Facebook，因為在電腦中每個字要放到『雞蛋咁大』，很麻煩。現在可以聽，方便得多。」但他指，有些報章App文字以圖片方式製作，那便讀不到，簡單反而更好。

iPhone輔助功能何止接收資訊，Walter接過記者的卡片便即場示範，拍攝卡片後通過App直接識別姓名、電話、電郵，儲存到通訊錄中，再通過「語音控制」功能，用廣東話清楚讀出，便能撥打電話，「以前我收到卡片，看不到也用不到。」

慈善團體一直有資助視障人士購買點字機或大字機，Walter嘗試申請以購買iPad，但不成功，「一部有藍牙的點字機可能需要近4萬元，便宜的大字機也要近2萬，但iPad只需約4千元，可惜被誤作買奢侈玩具，申請被否決。」

副稿：Voice Over突破屏幕限制

一些手機屏幕閱讀軟件要近2千元，但iPhone從3GS開始便有Voice Over功能，系統iOS升級到4之後，更有粵語等21種語言選擇，無需安裝額外軟件，免費使用。Walter指iPhone用盡所有多點觸控的功能，突破屏幕限制。開啟Voice Over後，可以想像整個手機屏幕為一個大按鍵，用1至3隻手指便能操作不同功能，Walter用了幾日便熟悉操作。

Alumni of The Art Institutes system of schools work in jobs all across the country – and the globe. Some alumni have taken jobs or opened their own companies in countries outside of the United States. Ai InSite talks to some of them to learn more about the allure of working abroad.

Frequently international students who study at The Art Institutes system of schools return to their home countries to start their careers. According to the USA Study Guide website, “the U.S. hosts more international students than any other country in the world, a number fast approaching 600,000. In fact, international students comprise approximately 4% of the total undergraduate U.S. university and U.S. college population, and 10% for U.S. graduate school.”

From Bangkok and Dubai, to Hong Kong and Togo, some graduates are pursuing their careers — and their dreams — in destinations far from North America, and the schools they attended.

Working Abroad and Home
“For me, The Art Institutes’ program of study was a passport to start a professional career with great confidence,” says Elom Ketoglo, a 2004 Interior Design graduate of The Art Institute of Phoenix. Ketoglo launched Yatchem Espaces & Décors (YED), an interior design company, in 2007 in her homeland of Togo, a country in west Africa.

Ketoglo, like some of the other graduates working abroad, chose her home country as the spot where she wanted to pursue her professional goals.

“It was a natural move for me to return to my home country to launch my first business venture,” Ketoglo says. “YED is the first interior design studio in the country, and since our doors opened, there has been a growing interest and demand for our services.”

Working Abroad in a Foreign Land
But not all alumni working abroad choose to return to their homelands to start their careers. Shervaun W.L. Wang is a 1996 Visual Communications graduate of The Art Institute of Seattle, and while originally from Singapore, she moved to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to open her design and marketing agency, called Olivewei.

“I came to Dubai for business six years ago when it was still at the initial stage of growth,” Wang says. “I was planning for a change and also new challenges and I saw this opportunity. I did some research about the region, did a lot of networking, and after that I just jumped on a plane and moved to Dubai, alone at 28.”

Even though she took a chance by moving to Dubai, Wang did important research before doing so. Ketoglo did the same.

“After three years of prospecting and studying local African markets, I felt the timing was right to launch a design practice in Togo,” she says.

Giving Back While Working Abroad
Choosing to move back to an overseas hometown after graduation can also afford alumni the opportunity to give back. That was one of the reasons Panuwat Pichetkul returned to Bangkok after graduating from the Art & Animation Design program at The Art Institute of Vancouver in 2007. Pichetkul started a visual studio called Getty4D, which creates realistic 3D visuals for the architecture and interior design industries.

“First, I wanted to do business in my hometown,” Pichetkul says. “Second, one of my main objectives other than the success of my own business is to help develop the Thailand 3D animation industry. I am looking forward to seeing a rapid growth of 3D animation demand in Thailand in the near future.”

But perhaps the biggest benefit international alumni find when choosing to work abroad is the opportunity to go back home. Candy Mok graduated from the Fashion Marketing program at The Art Institute of Seattle in 2003 and currently works for Spicers Paper Company Limited as the assistant sales manager. She is at the company’s Hong Kong office, which is her hometown. She says there are many benefits to living and working in Hong Kong.

“Hong Kong is a special economic region of China with its mix of west and east together,” Mok says. “It is an incredible city full of energy, excitement, and endless possibilities. Plus, Hong Kong is my home.”

齊來當個「護林使者」

全球森林正面臨著嚴峻的危機！上月，世界自然保護聯盟等機構的聯合報告指出，全球超過五分之一的植物物種「有滅絕危險」，這些瀕危植物主要生於受大量砍伐、火災等人為因素威脅的熱帶雨林及森林。國際環保團體綠色和平則發出「每兩秒鐘有一個足球場大小的森林從地球上消失」之警告，即世界每年失去十萬平方公里的森林，面積接近九十個香港。

森林舉足輕重，它的其中一個角色是「地球之肺」，負責分解溫室氣體如二氧化碳，遏止全球暖化，平衡全球生態系統。而且森林在過去數千年一直為數以百萬計動植物提供棲身之所：野生動物如非洲樹林的紅猩猩、黑猩猩；馬來西亞熱帶雨林的長鼻猴、梅花鹿；印尼的蘇門答臘虎等，森林的各式各樣「住客」不勝枚舉。熱帶雨林、森林亦可維持地球生物多樣性，以佔全球熱帶雨林總面積一半的亞馬遜雨林為例，林內有二百五十萬種昆蟲、四萬個植物物種及約三千種魚類，全世界逾兩成雀鳥都居於亞馬遜雨林。此外，森林還能保障食物鏈、防止水土流失……

既然森林對地球這麼重要，保護森林的確刻不容緩。最實際的是國家和企業應帶頭加強林業管理，善用森林資源，減少採伐計劃、採伐量及改進採伐方式，並於伐後及時補植，使木材的生長量和採伐量達基本平衡；同時各國應推廣宣傳教育，令人民合理利用木材，積極投入造林植樹，亦應投放資源，開展林業研究，減少污染和防治火災、蟲害，以科技護林。至於日常生活中能做到的也不少，如減少用木，拒絕使用即棄的木製品如木筷子；節省用紙並使用循環再造紙，因為所有被砍伐的木材中，就有四成是用來製紙，香港人口雖佔世界的千分之一，卻是全球第二大的紙品市場，用紙量驚人；還有，時刻謹記森林的重要性，身體力行支持環保，參與環保團體的護林工作如植樹日、籌款或捐款等。

生於「石屎（瀝青）森林」，香港人對熱帶雨林、森林的接觸和認識機會都不多，護林似乎與我們距離很遠。但其實森林、樹木都默默地為人類的一呼一吸和生活作出貢獻，與地球上每一個人都息息相關，因此大家都應愛護森林，為地球出一分力。

小知識之木材認證：森林管理委員會（Forest Stewardship Council簡稱FSC）是一個於1993年成立的國際非牟利機構，旨在促進對環境負責的森林活動以保護原始森林，其成員包括環保組織、企業和50個國家的政府林業部門、木材貿易協會等。FSC設立認證制度，目的是鼓勵全球企業拒絕使用非法砍伐的木材，改用印有FSC認證標誌的木材，經認證的木材都是來自「次森林」或人工種植森林之木材，表示伐木商會按規定植回指定數量的樹木來補償砍伐了的樹林，更不會肆意砍伐原始森林。因此，若希望拯救樹林、環保用木，購買木製品時應盡量選擇印有FSC標誌的。
